Open School East workshops’ reveal

Join us for the revealing of three pieces made by Open School East Associates Sara Jackson, Lottie McCarthy, Sam Slattery, and Kathryn Tovey in collaboration with members of the public and of the Sunken Garden Society, over the course of three workshops. These are: terrazzo tiles, which now adorn the Sunken Garden’s grass pools, as well as terrazzo bee and butterfly baths; a large-scale cyanotype picnic blanket made for one of the pools; and ‘The right weather’, an expressive aural piece that documents the processes of care, making and maintenance undertaken in the Sunken Garden by a small community of volunteer gardeners, focussing on interventions made while they have been working with Open School East Associates.
