Plant-based filmmaking with Kim Conway

‘Phytogram’, a workshop by Kim Conway to learn a technique that uses the internal chemistry of plants for the creation of images on photographic emulsion. This workshop for adults starts with a foraging walk around the Sunken Garden and towards Nayland Rock Hotel to collect your own plant matter. Once at Nayland Rock, we will learn about the role of Phenols in plants and how to make a contact print on black and white photo-sensitive paper. 

What to bring: Sturdy footwear; your water; a bag or envelope to carry your prints home in.
