The Plants Talk Back: part 1
What would plants say to us if they had the chance to talk back? We invite you to a two-day site-specific exploration and speculation at the Sunken Garden to investigate just how entangled we are with our natural environment, and each other. Feel free to join us for just one of the days, or for the full two days (the second day is on Saturday 2 October, 11:00-16:00).
Day 1 of ‘The Plants Talk Back’ is a drama improvisation workshop led by local writer and comedian, Trevor Neal, and organised by Jemma Cullen with members of GOLD (Getting on with Learning Difficulties) and Arts in Ramsgate. We invite the public to a casual and celebratory public performance / happening on site at 4pm.
11:00: A presentation about the Sunken Garden, its history, flora and fauna
12:00: Break for lunch
13:00: Drama improvisation workshop with Trevor
14:30: Costume making workshop
16:00: Sunken Garden Party
We are disability and neurodiversity aware, please let us know if you have any specific needs and we’ll make sure you have the best day possible.
A plant based lunch is provided for workshop participants on both days, please advise of any dietary requirements.
