‘Displaced Portraits’ is a series of silverpoint drawings of people found in photographs from 1930s/1940s Germany, photo booth images, and images of people in costume or in uniform. They all have a Margate connection. The drawings are a meditation on these displaced traces of moments in people’s lives.
