In its fourth year, the 2017 theme of the festival was ‘Making a Change’.
A spectacular programme featured an incredible performance from dotdash, b.by the sea rocking the Dreamland Scenic Stage, Sophie Mallett’s work ‘Soft Borders’ at Resort Studios and a whole range of exhibitions, experiences, play and performances across the town. Other highlights included Miyuki Kasahara’s take over at Margate Wash House with “Waving Goodbye?”, the PRAH All dayer with music, spoken word performances, live art installations and a mouth-watering BBQ and Marine Studios’ ‘Margate Games’ in collaboration with GEEK which got us to get together to play and invent.
Margate Festival 2017 was a partnership between Threshold Studios, Kent County Council, Turner Contemporary and Dreamland Margate.
