Bring up the Boat!: Sara Trillo

Sara Trillo has liaised with marine archaeologists to locate the site of a possible ancient boat wreck on Margate beach. She will be leading an excavation of this and welcomes help from the public to uncover remains and document finds, to be displayed at Limbo from 9 – 12 November.

For this LIMBO PLUS ONE: E, Sara Trillo will be exhibiting BRING UP THE BOAT, fragments of an apparent ritual burial excavated on Margate beach, as a commission for MargateNOW.

Anna Perach makes wearable sculptures informed by the dynamic between personal and cultural myths, and there will be a performance of her piece MOTHER OF EGG alongside BRING UP THE BOAT on Friday 8 November at 7pm only.

On Tuesday 12 November, Holly Slinsgby and Sara Trillo, who share an interest in narratives of saints lives, will host ST YMAR’S DAY , honouring the feast day of St Ymar, an obscure Saxon monk buried in Margate.
