Combining folksong, comedy, and theatre, Music Hall was a feature of seaside towns from the mid-nineteenth to mid-twentieth centuries. Though light-hearted and irreverent, it addressed intense themes. Thanet’s oldest residents are among the last living witnesses. Alongside them, Lunatraktors will rediscover Margate’s Music Hall heritage and explore its contemporary potential.
