The Welcome Chorus: Yuri Suzuki

The Welcome Chorus will bring together sound, sculpture and artificial intelligence (AI) in a new, interactive, outdoor installation on Turner Contemporary’s terrace. Twelve coloured horns, each representing a district of Kent, will sing lyrics in response to words and sounds made by visitors. Lyrics will be generated live by a unique site-specific piece of AI software. The AI software has been trained by people from all over Kent, who, through workshops at Kent libraries, have reflected on different aspects of their Kentish experience.
