The Margate Station Commission is a sculptural installation that uses analogue technology to illuminate the ticket hall ceiling.
This textile and spatial intervention makes use of local chalk and reconditioned objects to test, re-design and co-design communal spaces and viewpoints in and around Hawley Square.
Nominated artists: Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock, Oscar Murillo, Tai Shani. Four of the most exciting artists working right now are shortlisted to win the prize based on an outstanding exhibition that has taken place in the previous year.
